Quilt-a-thon... Day one.

Judy, over at Patchwork Times is holding a quilt-a-thon this weekend. I am quilting today, working on one of Charlene's quilts. her guild did a mystery last year, and I'm quilting hers up for her. I have 3 passes done, and I figure there are about 10 left.
Here's a sneak peek
She did hers in Christmas fabrics, so we decided on a swirly Christmas tree pantograph designed by Patricia Ritter. I'll do an edit later on to show how much I got done.

6 pm.... 2 more passes done since I wrote the above. I could have done a lot more, but I goofed, so had to spend an hour ripping out what it took 5 minutes to put in. Rats....... And I won't be doing much more today, because I'm going to go to the guild meeting, and join the guild. It's about time I stopped being a solitary quilter, don't you think?

  1. How fun! I love sneak peeks!! :)

  2. Fun Fun
Love that panto. Can't wait to see the quilt. :)

  3. That quilt is pretty. I love Christmas things! I'm glad you are joining the guild. :)

  4. I'm glad you joined the guild! I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful quilts at show and tell. The flannel monstrosity will be coming your way soon...

  5. can't wait to see that quilt finished-oh the pain of unsewing!
I, too, was a solitary quilter until I joined the guild I'm in now. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine-quilters are such great people!

  6. I seem to recall you stepping outside your box to meet up with me... and I'd gladly get together with you again sometime soon!
I'm glad to hear that the guild meeting went well - the first time I went to a guild meeting, I felt like the only person that didn't know anybody, while everyone else knew everybody... it was a really lonesome feeling! (I'm a pretty shy person too!) After a few meetings, I was ready to quit! and then one day I brought the "refreshments" and people asked for the recipe, and they asked about other things - and now I feel very much at home with them!
There's going to be a Quilting Celebration on Monday night at 7:00 in the community centre in Komoka. There will be demos and class info, and lots of useful stuff AND prizes. Tickets are $5. in advance, and after that evening, they become a $5.00 coupon for either Sew Creative in Mt. Brydges, or The March Store in Coldstream. Tickets can be bought at the door too, but they can't be converted to coupons. I could pick up a ticket for you if you'd like...

I love reading all your comments, and am grateful for each one. I try very hard to answer them all, but lately I haven’t quite been able to answer all of them.
