Bear Tracks grew some more this past week and is still on my design wall. All the main blocks are done, and are half sewn together. There is still a fair bit of work left to do on it, though, in order to get all the border units done. Unfortunately, it's going to have to wait. There are more walls to look at over at Judy's Patchwork Times
I have a few customer quilts that have to get finished up. I've been badly procrastinating on them, and the pressure of knowing they are there waiting is starting to bother me. I'm working 3-11 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so there won't be a whole lot accomplished these days. But I'm off for 11 days after this, some of which will be spent visiting Noel and Laurie and Avery. We're going up on Friday, coming back Sunday, hopefully armed with lots of pics. It's hard to fathom that tomorrow it will be 4 weeks since he was born. The time is flying too fast. And speaking of time flying so fast, yesterday was Matt and Becca's first wedding anniversary. It seems like just yesterday I was trying to get all the bridesmaids' dresses done. Wow! They have had a good year, though, and are growing together as a couple in the Lord. Matt wrote this to Becca:
Well sweetie, it's official now. 1yr! You are sleeping right now, but as I look and see how comfy and how content you look. I am truly blessed to have you as my wife. I thank God for these moments. 1yr ago my life changed for the better! I love you very much and look forward to many more years of happiness with you!
What mother could hope for more for her daughter.

Design Wall Monday Week 2

Design Wall Monday Oct. 22
I don't have anything new up on my wall today. I'm still concentrating on getting things finished. But, I thought I would share one of last week's finished, which I am so happy with. My Pieceful Kwilter Bom is finished, and waiting for quilting. I made the mistake of going through all my unquilted tops, and discovered that there are at least 10 of them. When the Pineapple one is finished, hopefully this week, that will make 11. Yikes! Join me with a cup of something warm, and come on over to Judy's Patchwork Times to see more design walls.

Design wall Monday April 12
I've been working on one of Judy Laquidara's quilt for an hour projects, "Freeze Frame", for the past week. It's all pieced, and just needs the plain borders sewn on. I'm happy with, both her instructions, and the way it looks. I liked the colours she used in her version, so I've sort of kept to the same, especially the yellow. And it is all stash fabric. I'd love to sit down and finish it, right now, but, I HAVE to get the last bridesmaid dress at least to the final pattern stage today. After that, I'l probably reward myself with some quilting. I really do have to figure out how to put links in these posts too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Design wall Monday March 22
I'm a little late posting today, but I've been working on the star blocks for this BOM I'm doing. It's by Burning the Midnight Oil, which is in my blog list. I'm actually working on next month's blocks. This month's were the chain squares. But, I really like this quilt, and would like to get it into the finished category. Right now, the green in the star block is looking rather out of place, but I think it will be better when the other 3 are done. At least, I hope it will.

Design wall Monday Feb 15
On my design wall is Cactus Rose, by Judy Niemeyer, and it's grown over the last week. I was able to take the cactus units with me to work on the weekend, and I spent my supper and coffee breaks de-papering, so they are all ready to go. I'm hoping to get the rest of it pieced today and tomorrow, and then it will be time to do the applique.

Well, I'm making good progress on the "Cactus Star" quilt, by Judy Niemeyer. It had been sitting in my UFO pile for the past year, or so. I'm hoping to get it done, at least to the point of putting on the applique, before the winter is out.

Design wall Monday
I've seen a number of posts about design wall mondays, and I've decided to join in the fun. I've had this Wedding Ring quilt packed away in a bin for the last 3 years, or so. Something decided me to pull it out, and start to work on it again. Maybe reading about all these people working on their UFO's has inspired me to pull out some of mine. It's based on a design by Elise M. Campbell, that I found in a book called "Quick Quilts From Your Scrap Bag". Somehow, I don't think over 3 years classifies as quick, but it is pretty.
