Design Wall Monday August 2

On my wall today, after taking down the Peas in a Pod quilt, which is now finished, is the beginnings of a new quilt, called "Double Duty". It's an interesting variation on the traditional Log Cabin. I like the half square triangles in the centres of the cabins, and the addition of the flying geese. I had a lot of brown, and rust and gold fat quarters, so I'm using them in this quilt. Go on over to Judy's to see other design walls.

  1. Like your log cabin blocks. Very interesting with the HST thrown in there.

  2. Double duty - looks very intersting! I have never seen this pattern before. And I am liking brown toned fabrics more and more!

  3. I really like your Double Duty project. I'm not particularly crazy about log cabin designs, but this one certainly appeals to me. Good use of colors. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your progress.

I love reading all your comments, and am grateful for each one. I try very hard to answer them all, but lately I haven’t quite been able to answer all of them.
