Design Wall Monday April 30, 2012

I have fallen behind on doing the NYB's. Life here has been too complex lately to continue the complex into my sewing. So I started a quilt that is on my Want-to-do list, Avignon Picnic, found in the Moda "Bake Shop". I wanted some easy, not have to think too hard, sewing to do, that would work up fast. This certainly fit that description. I used my jelly roll of "Flora" fabrics. It is working up into a very pretty, spring feeling quilt, to contrast with the very grey day outside today. All of the individual blocks are done, and the rest of them are paired up, and ready to be sewn together. It won't be happening today, though, since I have to work this afternoon at 3, which is only an hour and a half from now. Which makes this a very short post. I'm linking up To Judy's Design Wall Monday at Patchwork Times.

  1. Avingon is on my want to do list as well. Your colors look so pretty and spring like. Sewing spring is the next best thing to having it.

  2. Very pretty! This quilt pattern is on my list of ones I want to do too! And sometimes life demands easy quilting to balance things out.

  3. So pretty! I love this and think it is a refreshing looking quilt. Sounds like it helped refresh you too. NYB look so hard and not a great choice when stressed!!

  4. Your quilt is very pretty. This pattern has always reminded me of walking on sidewalks through a park - is that how it got it's name?

I love reading all your comments, and am grateful for each one. I try very hard to answer them all, but lately I haven’t quite been able to answer all of them.
