I haven't done a stash report in 4 or 5 weeks now. Too busy getting ready for the baby shower, finishing up the little guy's quilts and diapers. The rest of the snaps for the diapers came on Thursday in the mail, so I can get back to work on those and get them finished as well. His arrival date was supposed to be around May 22nd, but I suspect that he's going to be here a lot earlier than that. At his 32 week ultrasound, he was already clocking in at approximately 6 pounds. So, I sure hope for Laurie's sake, that the doctor's arrange for him to arrive in the next week or 2, or that will be one really big baby with a really big ouch factor to him. LOL! She has a special set of ultrasounds booked for tomorrow, so we should know more then.
We came up to Collingwood this weekend to give a little bit of assistance to getting ready. Scott helped Noel paint the room that will be his nursery, and Laurie and I went through all the clothes and towels and blankets that are here. We finished sorting them according to size, and got all the new stuff she received at the shower washed and folded and into their proper storage boxes. It's a good thing she doesn't have a lot of newborn sized clothes, since I don't think he'd fit them for too long. Anyway, this is supposed to be a stash report post, so, to the numbers.
Used since week 12: 7.1 yards
Used year to date: 56.2 yards
Added since week 12: 4 yards
Added year to date: 95.5 yards
Balance +39.3 yards

Design Wall Monday Dec 20
Wow, December 20, already. Four days from now, we'll be heading up to Collingwood to spend Christmas with our son and daughter-in-law, Noel and Laurie. Our daughter, Rebecca, and her husband, Matt, are going to be there too. I am praying that the weather cooperates, and we don't have any of the heavy snow squalls that have been hitting us this month. Laurie, who is around 4 months pregnant, is having an ultrasound on the 22nd, so they will, hopefully, know the sex of the baby by the time we get there. And then, the true fun begins, when I can seriously think about a customized baby quilt, just for that precious child. Woohoo! I was hoping to have all day today, after working the weekend, to relax, and play in my sewing room. But, Rebecca called, and wants to head out to do some Christmas shopping, and how can I pass up an opportunity to spend time with my daughter. However, I
did manage to get one more of the 100 block challenge blocks made this morning, so I'm up to date. Go on over to Patchwork Times to see more design walls

Design Wall Monday Oct. 11
My design wall has a very familiar sight on it again. Cactus Rose. 3 of the blocks now have the applique finished, and the 4th is all glue basted down. I was so excited to have all the applique in place, that I just had to see all 4 squares up and together. I love it, and am doing a happy dance. I'll be doing the 4th square as my take along project , so, it just might be getting close to being time to do the paper piecing for the outer borders. We had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend. We went to Collingwood to spend it with our son Noel and our daughter-in-law Laurie. Laurie's parents, Bill and Jan were there, as well, and we all had a wonderful time together. We are so blessed that everybody gets along with everybody else. Noel did almost all the cooking, which also made it a quite enjoyable day. The weather was perfect, and we got a chance to go out for a beautiful hike yesterday afternoon, before we had to head back home. If you get a chance, go on over to Judy's place to see more design walls. It's a great way to explore other blogs, and find beautiful quilts, and lots of inspiration.

October Goals.
I really liked the feeling of accomplishment that came from writing down goals, and getting all but one done, back in September. So, I'm going to try it again. Most of them are going to relate to getting some quilts finished.
1. Quilt Charlene's tree skirts October 19
2 Make pies and stuffing for thanksgiving weekend done, October 9th
3. Go to Collingwood for the weekend done October 9 & 10
4. Quilt Charlene's bed quilt
5. Quilt Evelyn's cross stitch quilt.
6. Start on Christmas gifts. (can't list them, they're secret!)
7. Finish Double Duty, brought forward from September October 16
8. Finish 3rd Cactus Rose block, and start the 4th done October 11
9. Do September and October blocks for Shannon's BOM done October 14
10. Do October embroidery for Raggedy BOM
11. Do unit 3's for Pineapple quilt-a-long done October 13
We're going up to Collingwood, to Noel and Laurie's for Thanksgiving this weekend, so I'm going to work on October's Raggedy Redwork embroidery in the car on the way there and back home. And, I'll take either Cactus Rose, or my basket, to work on while we're there. Oh yes, there is the stuffing to make, and some pies to do on Friday. Hmmmmm, 11's a good number, for goals to do. Any more, and it might get overwhelming, so I'll stop there, and see how it goes. Now, to get started, and get those tree skirts loaded, which is quite the challenge, because of their odd shape. I haven't quite totally figured out how I'm going to do it yet. Probably float them, with lots of pins.

Third block done
Yesterday, before work, I managed to get the third block of Pieceful Kwilter's BOM done. Here's a pic. I have today off, and am going to use it to get a start on that postage stamp quilt. I was hoping to get the binding made, and sewn onto my daughter's wedding quilt, but, the silly girl's alarm didn't go off this morning. So, instead of being safely at school, and out of the way, she's here, at home, where she can walk in on me at any time, and I want this quilt to remain sight unseen till they actually receive it in June. She is getting married on June 12, to a wonderful young man, who loves her to pieces, and takes tender care of her. This is our second wedding in a year. Our son, Noel, got married last August, in Hawaii, to a lovely young lady who takes good care of him. We are so blessed to love both our in-laws. We know so many people who cannot stand their children's spouses. How awful that must be. They live in Collingwood, ontario, which is about 3 hours north of London. Noel is quite a talented photographer, and sent us these photos that he took while out on a winter stroll last week.
