Anyway, here’s the picture.
And then I finished off and added borders to Sapphire Net.
It’s an Electric quilt public domain block, and that was the name given in Electric quilt, so I’ll keep it. The border is quite bright and in your face, but it works well with the large scale florals that are in the centre of the quilt.
And because those two are done I’ve given myself permission to start a new one. I’m calling it Friendship Chain. It is also from the Electric Quilt software in the Barbara Brackman Blockbase. I’m still working on figuring out exactly how to put it together. It’s quite complex and I’m not sure off the top of my head how to tackle it. I’ve started cutting pieces and it will be English Paper Pieced using my scraps with each of the intertwined chains a different colour. And that’s the part that is causing the difficulty in putting it together. A two colour quilt would be easy but since when have I ever done anything the easy way?
Anyhow, I’m linking up to Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching before going back to more cutting to get ready for this new project. I’m hoping lots of scraps will be used up in this one.
All beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteMy understanding is that if you post to your blog and then write the first comment on it (checking to receive follow-up comments, which may be a setting you have to change in your layout), it will email you whenever a comment is posted -- BUT that they all arrive as 'no-reply', so folks either need to leave their email addresses in their comments or you already need to have them (which, presuming you've exchanged emails with them before, like me, you do). Your Friendship Chain is lovely! Would you EPP it and then applique it onto a background? I likey-like! As for your sample...Colours En Pointe? LOL! I'm terribly at naming stuff! :)

ReplyDeleteLOVE the 2 finished projects - and the challenge of sorting out the 3rd one!
ReplyDeleteGood post. I study something more difficult on completely different blogs everyday. It can always be stimulating to learn content material from other writers and apply a little one thing from their store. I’d prefer to make use of some with the content material on my weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a link in your net blog. Thanks for sharing. gsn casino
ReplyDeleteHow about Hexi-Medalion quilt or Hexi-Squared for a name? Love this block.
