Slow Stitching

I am beginning to put my version of Crabapple Hill’s Summer Kitchen quilt together. It is a slow process, even if this part is done by machine.

Our family has decided to keep our grand daughter home this year rather than send her off to junior kindergarten, a decision I fully support. However that means we are doing some of the schooling with her which gobbles up time. But it is time well worth spending. I squeeze in a bit of machine sewing here and there.

In the evenings I am continuing to stitch on my Noah’s Ark BOM, also from Crabapple Hill.

The ark is finished, except for the anchor and a few of the flowers. I’ll continue with it after I post this and link up to Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching.

  2. Summer Kitchen is truly gorgeous. It abounds with whimsical design and pretty colour. Noah's Ark is a beauty too. Your granddaughter sounds as if her schooling will not suffer at all. She will thrive with all the home teachers in her life.

  3. I love the Summer Kitchen quilt. I like that swag of teacups and the row of cupcakes. Oh no, now I am craving tea and cupcakes. Noah's ark is very pretty. It is hard to learn from home, but I am sure your little granddaughter will learn all she needs to right now. I am thankfully able to work both my high school and university positions from home. Stay safe.

I love reading all your comments, and am grateful for each one. I try very hard to answer them all, but lately I haven’t quite been able to answer all of them.
