Sunday Stash and Stitchery Report.

I haven't done a whole lot of stitching this week, but did manage to get a little done on some felt ornaments
There are 3 different styles in this package, with 2 of each style, giving a total of 6 to do. They are cute, and fast to work up, which after all those stockings, is a bit of a bonus.
I went out to the local embroidery/stitchery store, called Thread and Eye, yesterday, and picked up a selection of variegated embroidery floss. I have been saving the patterns for the BOM Promises and Borders since it began, and I finally decided that I was going to start it yesterday. That was before I decided I didn't like the way the quilting was looking on a project I was working on, and decided to rip it all out. I love how fast the quilting goes into a project doing it by machine, but I hate how long it takes to rip that same quilting out. (sigh)
And now, remember that road trip we took last Tuesday the involved some fabric shopping? Now comes the rather painful or fun part, depending on the point of view. I think I'll choose fun. I have to add the numbers in.

Used this week:                                       2.7 yards
Used this year:                                      76 yards
Added this week:                                  14.25 yards
Added this year:                                   147.30
Balance:                                                71.3 more yards in than out. I think I like having my numbers go up. Fabric shopping is fun, and adds to the variety of "paints" I have to work with in creating more quilts. And it won't go bad, or dry up like an artist's paints can do if left sitting to long.
I'm linking up to Judy's Patchwork Times Stash report and Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching

  3. I like your ornaments too. And I like your way of thinking about all the fabric that comes in. It will definitely keep a very long time -- I have proof of that in my stash now!

I love reading all your comments, and am grateful for each one. I try very hard to answer them all, but lately I haven’t quite been able to answer all of them.
