OK, so I'm doing something wrong. This is the second week I've tried to link up to Judy L.'s site, and both times, the link I post, which I took directly from the top of the page of my post, says that the page is not found. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?
It looks like you typed in the URL incorrectly. I always have both windows open and highlight and copy the address at the top of the page on my blog, then I go to Judy's blog and paste it in.
ReplyDeleteYep; for some reason it's copied the year as 2012, instead of 2010. You can hand correct that with no problem, but for the life of me I can't figure out why it's doing that if you're cutting and pasting it from your own header page! :)
ReplyDeleteTo go into a bit more detail....sorry if you already know this but it also took me a couple tries the first time I did a link.
ReplyDeleteNormally, you would see http://eagleswingsquilt.blogspot.com on the top of your page, in the address window.
You need to click on the post header that is in yellow on your blog. The permalink to the specific post is now shown in the address window. It will have your blogname and the detail info about the post.
Highlight the permalink, ctrl C to copy and then move to Judy's blog, and ctrl V to paste.
The first time I tried doing a link, I was trying to use an address through the edit post function, so I was not grabbing the correct permalink. Note, I use Wordpress, which is probably a bit different from blogspot.
Hope this helps.... and have fun blogging!
