We got a lot accomplished yesterday. Unfortunately, most of it wasn’t photo worthy. And I also missed one picture. Tammy brought in a finished quilt top, that somehow I didn’t get a picture of. Marg is working on the beginnings of a new quilt. So far it is just a lot of half square triangles. There will be pictures in future posts. Janet was working on sewing together a lot of batting scraps, also not a lot of fun for photos. Susan has started a new quilt. No photos there. Tammy and Janet also spent some time picking out and cutting backings for 6 or 7 of the tops we have waiting. They may end up getting layered next week. Diane is putting together a Bonnie Hunter design called Bricks and Stepping Stones.
And I finished the top from some squares I put together a couple of months ago that then got packed into a box and semi forgotten.
It still needs a border of some sort. If I can find some of the leftover strips, I may do a scrappy border of some sort. Here at home I’ve been working on adding borders to the EPP mystery centre I started a month or 2 ago.
I’m hoping to have this done perhaps by next Thursday. I have several more want-to-do quilts hovering around in the back of my mind that I’d love to get to. I’ll link up to finished, or not, Friday.

I like the colours in your quilt, 2nd pic. I do find it hard to pick up again if I pack something away unfinished, especially if I've forgotten details LOL!
ReplyDeleteHat patches need a design that works within a relatively small area. Simple logos, bold shapes, and short wording are often easier to recognize than crowded artwork. I would check the Patch Panel finished dimensions and placement before choosing the patch style. Leather-look, embroidered, and woven designs can each create a different appearance. The hat material and attachment method should also be considered. A proof can help reveal text or spacing issues before production. What design works best for your caps?

That Bricks and stepping stones pattern is very versatile. Great quilts!
ReplyDeleteNicely done - the bricks and stepping stones is a great color combo
